DFM sheds 22 pts on Thursday
The DFM’s general index tumbled 21.99 points

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Markets (DFM) has closed Thursday’s trading session on a negative note, pressured by the declining sectors.

The DFM’s general index tumbled 21.99 points, or 0.79%, finishing the session at 2,768.85 points.

Trading volume amounted to 70.545 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 105.994 million through 1,962 transactions.

The real estate stocks led the declining sectors with 0.90%, followed by the consumer staples, the banks, and the investment and financial services sectors that shed 0.76%, 0.35%, and 0.21%, respectively.

Emaar Properties was the most active stock in terms of liquidity with a turnover of AED 36.210 million, while GFH was the most heavily traded stock with a trading volume of 16.257 million shares.

Emirates NBD slid 1.28% to AED 11.55, while Damac and Arabtec added 0.75% to AED 0.94 and 0.61% to AED 1.66, respectively.

Meanwhile, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and DXB Entertainment remained stable at AED 5.11 and AED 0.23.
